About Helen

I embarked on an MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology in my mid 40s, having worked in education teaching PE amongst other things, for over 25 years. I love sport and always have. I love swimming and compete regularly in Masters and Open Water events. I am excited to offer Sport Psychology services in Cambridge and East Anglia, as I truly believe it can make a big difference to performance.

BA (Hons) Psychology, Cardiff University

PGCE, University of Cambridge

MSc in Sport & Exercise Psychology with distinction, Staffordshire University

Chartered Sport Psychologist, British Psychological Society

HCPC registered (Health and Care Professionals Council)

Primary Practicum in Rational-Emotive Behaviour therapy, Albert Ellis Institute Centre of REBT, University of Birmingham

Experience

Helen has worked with athletes from a wide variety of sports, with athletes of varying ages and ability. She has worked with new exercisers, fitness enthusiasts, club members, performance pathway athletes, GB and international squad members, full time professionals, National, European and Commonwealth medallists and Paralympic Champions. Helen is also a teacher, with over 25 years’ experience in the classroom. Helen is an active ‘Masters’ swimmer in the pool and open water and regularly competes in National and International competitions.
